Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - Technical Issues (bug) Winter Ring

I got the quest Captives in the Crystals. I got Antzigar to tell me how to get the winter ring (equip winter amulet and stand in the middle of Boreas' treasure room). But then I found and freed the other two captives and it closed the quest. I didn't realize this until I defeated Boreas and got into the treasure room. When I equip the amulet and stand in the middle where I am supposed to, I can't get the ring no matter how long I stand there. Checked my closed quests and confirmed that it says that Antzigar told me how to get the Winter Ring, so I'm pretty sure it is because there is no active quest to trigger the event, but it is annoying and I think is a bug. Shouldn't have to have the quest open to get the ring :/ Other than this I think the game is fantastic!! :)

If you are standing on the grating where the star stone was, and equip the Royal Guard Talisman, you should only have to wait about 10 seconds before the talisman disappears and the Winter Ring shows up in your inventory.
