I saved the skeleton cursed by a demon in Flames of Vengeance and he became human again. However, later in game, he became a skeleton begging my help again. And yet quest log proved i had helped him. I am assuming i did a specific quest that may have reversed his state(maybe i am supposed to kill laniel not so late in game, i did it around end of my play).
