Is the additional companion DLC included in D:OS EE as standard?

It was standard (and free) with vanilla, so why wouldn't it be standard for the EE?

When the DLC was added last time, you had to start a new playthrough if you didn't have it installed.

I didn't want to assume that it was included as standard and have to restart the game if I was wrong.
