Did they take away sextants from the game? I did not find them, and the recipe list does not show them neither.

They were renamed to scopes and are really, really rare(found 1 in an entire game).

I found it, but seems like a unique item frown

I've found one in the three files I've played through smirk

I believe there was a second scope lying on a table in the post-game area. Completely pointless at that point, but it's there.

Otherwise, I think it was made a unique drop. Can't remember from where, maybe pontius?

Yep, probably fixed drop from Pontius. I have saves right after black cove from 2 different starts and I had a scope in inventory in both. If I had them before they'd be dumped on Jahan at the end of time(note: saw somewhere earlier that dismissed companions lose their inventory, they definitely do not just don't barter when they are not on the team).

That was probably me who said that. They definitely lose a portion of their inventory. I tried to set up madora as a crafter, gave her all of my materials only to ind out later that large amounts of valuable materials had disappeared. Some stacks went from 30+ to <5 and at least two types of elemental essence disappeared completely.

Could be barter related, I can't say for sure. She still had a lot of the stuff so it was hard to tell at first that anything had changed, just when I went to use it it wasn't there.

It's barter related, ran into the same issue a few times. I've used packmule/str Jahan as a crafter, he didn't lose a single item my entire run. The few occasions I've accidentally traded with him he gained a few hundred gold and lost a ton of items(carrying capacity down from something like 700/750 to 400/750). Same with the rejoining henchmen, they lost the majority of potions and scrolls carried whenever I clicked trade but no problems otherwise.

Dumping all the materials and 3 barrels on a crafter will save you a ton of annoying micromanagement, just always save on arriving at the hall of heroes in case you misclick.
