Hallo everybody!

There have been many complaints about NPCs repeating their dialogs too often! So, I have started to bring back some silence to the ears by modifying character scripts. To conserve or even improve immersion, there will be some additional actions and animations scripted. From time to time, I will add further changes where it appears to be necessary.
You can find my Mod on Nexus, just follow the link below. Currently, there are first changes around the market and the graveyard of Cyseal. I hope it works all fine, and you enjoy! smile

UPDATE:

QuietDayOnTheMarket is content complete now! Except little changes, addenda and adjustments nothing is left to work on.
Once you find some freetime have a walk through Cyseal, Silverglen or Hunter's Edge and explore the difference. The new frequency of NPCs doing their actions, shouts and dialogs is very enjoyable, I think!

If you would like to see more: keep in mind that this project will continue with a greater Mod and add more variety and more life to the world of Divinity Original Sin (EE)!

Great stuff! I vaguely looked into it, but didn't really bother, so I'm glad you came in and fixed it. I'll definitely add a plug for it on the Scales page.

Hunter's Edge is pretty loud, too. Probably some stuff in Silverglen, too.

@Aenra: Thank you! I'm just trying to improve this game a little bit, as far as I'm able to. Nice to get such kind response! I will definitely create more.

@Baardvark: Thanks for linking me on your site! I will do the same with your mod Scales that is quite the most important mod out there. I can't play D:OS without challenge. All the fantastic mechanics are quite cosmetic if there is no need to use them properly. Good stuff, too! - I saw some discussions on the Steam Forum. I'm sure Hunter's Edge will be next. The NPCs' behaviour is a bit more complex, so I have to take care of not breaking the coherence and plausibility of their actions. Maybe this weekend.

Hotfix-Version for several characters in Hunter's Edge is live, in response to some requests on the Steam Forum. I haven't tested it much, but didn't notice any issues.

Another Update: Some scripts are improved. A couple of new scripts are added to Cyseal (DrillSergeant, Recruits, BarracksCook, BowTrainingLegionnaire, Broggnar) and a single script to Hunter's Edge (Pokerplayer). Maybe it's worth some 'backtracking' to Cyseal.

The Updates to Version 2.2 of CysealPack and Version 2.1 of DarkForestPack are now available on Nexus! There are some more scripts added for Cyseal (especially for the docks) and many improvements to already existing ones. Some scripts are notably elaborated. Watch out the Sergeant and his recruits, or Moira at the Warehouse (after you mad a really bad decision). Feedback always appreciated!

My next target will be Silverglen. Should be available in the next days.

After the first walkaround I will focus on more depth and variety in NPC behaviour to make all places more interesting. Especially Cyseal and its characters have so much potential!

@Aenra: Sounds quite comfortable. As long as I don't have to beg for food, I can come to terms with that wink - And I would not complain if Larian released the Editor, finally.
I really hope to create a new experience when you walk through Cyseal, Silverglen or Hunter's Edge, watching a living world with its individual characters. Especially from Cyseal we can see how much creativity was put into the game, and how much there could be.

To manoeuvre myself out of it: I will extend what I have started to do in QuietDayOnTheMarket: More variety, more actions and interactions, kind of schedules for many NPCs but with random elements. And after that: We will see!

The update for LucullaPack (V.1.5) has arrived with a lot of new scripts (see below) and some improvements on existing ones.
There are still changes to be made for Luculla, especially for the hidden village of the immaculates in the north-east. Unfortunately, I have no save for that. If someone could help me out with a save (well, with all immaculates ALIVE) I would be full of gratitude!

CysealPack (V.2.4) and LucullaPack (V.2) are content complete now (see below)! There will be some adjustments if necessary; but all in all they are finished. If you recognize NPCs that I didn't regard, please tell me! I didn't play through the whole game to find them all (due to no ring available).

Furthermore, you can find two optional files that reduce frequency of non-story-related player comments (SkillUse, Miss, Junk, StatusEffects, LowHealth, Kill, Block, CriticalHit) and incombat comments of HeadlessNick.
