This was the most demotivating change for me in the EE.
Tactical Retreat was pretty cool and made for a very nice ability for a solo run... http://divinity.wikia.com/wiki/Tactical_Retreat

Many say it's OP, but then you have to take all the magic abilities and spells from mages, they are really OP in comparison... so yeap... and it can be used only on the Marksman himself... so it's not like Feather Drop that you can use on everyone

So... this is mainly a question that came up in conversation about @FrauBlake's amazing mod "XC_Bags" http://larian.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=589467#Post589467

FrauBlake can make this happen if there are more people who really want to see this..

I haven't played the classic, but I know that some skills were removed. Feather drop, phoenix dive, tactical retreat etc. I have seen the NPC enemies doing it against you(in tactician mode, in the main quest- first beach battle before entering cyseal, one of the cultist performs phoenix dive and straight lands in between your party members. Similarly, in the escort job quest, one of the bandits does tactical retreat.). I think those arts looked pretty cool. I think I saw phoenix dive in one of the DOS 2 videos. I don't know why would they remove it and then add it again. Anyways, I am glad you added it back.

With the escort job I suppose you mean the ambush in Luculla, when escorting Bjorn, Mara and Alfie to Silverglen.

I don't have the time to re-add Phoenix Dive yet, it might return in the big version - if I ever manage to finish that ;-) - as a replacement for Taunt, which I intend to remove, since it's usefulness is questionable and it only works half of the time anyway.

Other than those, Larian consolidated a lot if skills in EE into fewer ones, which is a good thing ... especially considering they did not give us more than 5 quickslot bars ;-)

Yeah, that quest.

Taunt and some other skills such as earth absorbation shield, avatar of elements(useless imo considering that the adept skills provide the same elemental absorbation shield).

Also, If I recall, there were also some summon bloodswarm/bloodwasp skill in witchcraft? That was removed too. There are some leftovers from classic, for example, one of the accessories from winter king's treasure(its probably the winter ring?) gives you the art piercing ice shard IIRC, after you equip it, it gives you the normal ice shard skill. Piercing ice shard is now a summon-only skill(many other skills which were actually usable by the player are now summon-only skills).

Summon Bloodswarm was removed, yes, but Summon Poison Slug is new, both Geomancer.

One could discuss forever which skills should go away and which not.
