So, I got into the crypt where his soul jars are, and thinking myself clever, i threw them with telekinesis, shattering them all.

This has caused the journal not to update and the quest can't be completed, since all 5 jars are now broken but I didn't interact with a jar to break it via dialog menus.

You shouldn't actually need to destroy the jars through dialogue.

Do you have a recent save before you destroyed the soul jars?

Please email supportdos2@larian.com, with a description (or link to this topic), the save after destroying the jars and the most recent one before (or a Dropbox or Google drive link, etc).
Each save is a folder in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles\<ProfileName>\Savegames' folder. In Windows Explorer you can zip file(s) and folder(s) by right clicking on it/them and selecting 'Send To | Compressed (zipper) Folder'.

Did you have the quest in the first place? There is no journal update if you didn't previously accept the quest.

Are you sure you destroyed all the jars? The correct one should not be possible to break with telekinesis, but the others can be.
