they can still add voices o go along with all the choices. and voices for the npc's and battle voices. the game is far more silent then the first game. just because it has more dialog doesnt mean they cant add a narritive or voices to go with it, speaking what you read and select. Just dialog is also a way of limiting the game. plus i want it to be the best it can be. cant you think to hear a DM or narrator read out the choice you pick? it would gve it more emotion, more depth then just simply silently reading it

It DOES mean that it'll be very expensive. That is the big prohibitive factor.

Like Stabby said, voice acting is extremely expensive. I believe strong writing in an rpg can stand on its own merits without voice acting. Also pretty sure it was stated during one of the DOS2 previews that there would be a little voice acting (dialouge that happens out in the world, and important narration), but fully voicing DOS2 if it it sticks with the narrative direction pushed during the kickstarter is an impossibility.

In D:OS it was primarily lines with overhead text that were voiced. Fully voiced dialogue was added in the Enhanced Edition (which took 7 months to record).

For D:OS 2, if and how much will be voiced has yet to be determined. Just act 1 has more text than the first game.
