I looked in the forum and didn't find anything on this, but I found a cat statuette off of an orc just outside Alanor. Does it have anything to do with the cat that you can talk to there? Anyone tried messing with it, or will I be wasting my time. Found it then needed sleep so I haven't done anything yet. I have not yet gotten to rivertown.

the cat statuette, like the spider and frog statuettes, will turn you into that animal for a little while. i have found that the cat one is next to useless however. the frog is fast, and the spider won't get attacked by enemies. and of course, ask biflspud for some other great uses for the spider statuette

Bummer, it just seems odd that you can "talk" to the one cat. When you do so he follows you around and kills rabbits, which is fun to watch. I keep thinking maybe he/she needs to be transformed back into a person and that statue is the way to do it. O well.

Have any of you tried talking to Arhu, being in the form of cat ? Just curious.
I tried speaking with wishing well, hoping he will grant more wishes.

I guess I can try tonight, can't hurt, I'm also wondering if you can give it to the cat.

Changed into a cat and wanted to contact Kitty in Aleroth = no response, she just stays friendly.
Changed into a cat in search for Arhu - cutscene came, I was human again - just the usual speech options. Kiya

I tried leaving the castle (while doing silly chores) by turning into a frog...you pop back to human whenever a convo starts ...so that didn't help.

No, you have to accomplish all silly chores - after that you may leave the castle. Kiya

Maybe there's another easter egg in Vedistis with the cats and the cat statuette?

I had a look at the Statuettes and found that they could be useful as an escape. They all have a Spirit Resistance of 100 and the Spider has a Poison Resistance of 100 as well. I know nothing about the Beetle Statuette though. Also, using the Spider Statuette near the start of the game will probably make you stronger than most monsters, making it very useful for those hard to kill enemies.
Nothing spectacular, but I reckon that those Statuettes must have some sort of benefit. I know of the Frog's speed and the Spider's alignment, but what of the Cat and Beetle?

My human mage is lvl 29 in her natural shape, the beetle boosts me. The cat? Maybe just cute? Kiya

As a cat, I was in the barraks, near general Alix. Then I saw a hostile orc. When I attacked him (still as a cat), the orc said "HELP ME! AAAAAHHH!" and I got +6 reputation. I have no idea what the hell was that. I tried the same with the frog. I got -5 reputation by attacking the orc, who screamed for help.

Whoa, that's really interesting. Did you try attacking the same orc as a human? What happened then?
+6 to reputation is sweet though... only thing more is the Janus bodyguard quest, and that quest is the yuck since you gain 10, then you lose 15.

It seemed to me the orcs were random (no names). Once again, I have no idea why was it. I might be a bug, even (ok, same bug 2 times is a bit strange..).

Sounds like a bug, but I'll happily take the rep. Maybe the Orcs know of Arhu and think that you must be him (after all, cats all look the same to Orcs).
The Beetle and Spider Statuettes must be for those who need the melee combat benefit. They'd be a very useful addition for a Wizard. The only problem is, I think you cannot use any potions as an animal.

Yes, you cannot use potions while you're transformed into an animal, also you cannot cast spells since right-clicking will return you to human form. I guess the spider/beetle is useful for mages when they have to fight orcs and the undead knight in the Stormfist's treasury room to save the wizard...
