It would be such a waste to ignore that easy bit of fanservice, giving us one of the few familiar faces it is possible to give us after this time jump.

Hopefully they could get his VA back and voicing everyone didn't get in the way of of a Jahan cameo.

I always got the impresssion that with "re-negotiating" his contract he got his freedom yes, but lost his immortality as well. So IMHO he lived a full lfe but died a bit over 1000 years ago.

I believe Jahan states that he'll live forever or something, I'll have to see if I can find a transcript of the dialogue.

Anyway I suppose it isn't out of the question for him to make a cameo although I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet. If he isn't in the game you'll have to make do with The Red Prince. He shares a couple of similarities with Jahan, namely that he's a noble that has to undergo a quest due to dealing with demons.

I agree it would be great to see Jahan again, but if I remember well from the story
his story was that he would be immortal for 1000 years and then give his soul to demon (or to hell)

Cant remember exact on it but plus
he already was more then 100+ year old when he meet our characters in DOS

I have done my research on this topic before making this post to be sure. The wiki is misleading in this regard, stating the same thing you say. But that's just a synopsis of his backstory, and doesn't spoil how his story ends.

In game it is specified that he gained immortality from a demon, but with the catch that the demon would come to claim his soul in 1,000 years. But he learned he could get rid of that part and just be immortal if he manages to kill the demon, which you do.

"This thousand year limit is but artifice, and of your making!"

So we have the perfect making for a recurring character despite it being thousands of years later, so it's my one hope that the game will deliver in that regard.

I might be wrong here but doesn't the player have the option to sacrifice Jahan to the demon? At least I heard it mentioned in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmxWJI3KGvc&feature=youtu.be&t=1106

Given that Jahan's story could have turned out several ways in canon I doubt that he'll put in a personal appearance. However, it wouldn't surprise me if at some point the Red Prince discovers/mentions that his predicament is similar to another one he read or otherwise learned about.

I really liked Barbie (Bairdotr). I like whoever voice acted her. I miss her saying "May the hunt continue"

"Keep distant, My own demons still haunt me too closely. I cannot also bear the burden of yours."
