I'm also getting this.

I also get "Connection to the Larian support server failed" when starting the game. I suspect this is related.

I've tried running the support server exe and the main game exe as administrator, and also I tried disabling the Windows Firewall altogether, but I still get the same errors.

(Running on Windows 10 Creator's Update, UK operating system, 32GB RAM, 64 bit)

Not the only one having issues connecting to the Larian servers. Game takes a few minutes after you activate the exe before giving a prompt stating it can't connect to the servers. For some the game crashes at that point, for me the game starts up up to the main menu though I haven't tried to do anything in the game sense this error started occuring because I wasn't sure what issues might arise as a result.

SO are there people that can see that global chat? I figured they just hadnt got it up yet

Same issue here, can't connect to global chat or support server.

win 10 latest, Avast internet suite. Both support tool & EoCApp.exe are allowed through firewall.
Problem persists even with firewall disabled.

Unfortunately there's nothing helpful in the 'network.log', is there any debug/verbose mode to start the client with to get some more information?

Hoping someone finds an answer soon. It's bugging me because I'm not sure if it means that those of us with this issue do not have access to the Multiplayer side of the game. Which would suck.

A Larian mod responded on GOG forums saying they turned it off at launch. No other details.

Fairly sure Global Chat was only meant to be for the beta-duration. No idea why it still has icons ingame.

Are we not going to get an official response on this forum OR the GOG forum? I have posted at both and I see other issues get responded to and nothing for this one.

If it was intended for beta only why don't they remove it? How many other beta features are still in the game that don't work. Its just weird to have it there,

I hope Larian Studios say something about global chat problem, or i want my money back.
