So, the handle was in my pouch when my 2nd player companion talked to Tarquin and told him that we'd found the hilt, he said he'd take it but for some reason it stayed in my pouch. Didn't think much of it at the time, but about 30 hours later we discovered the quest is now bugged because we found the blade part, the questlog updated as it should've, but we don't have a chat option to give it to Tarquin, just the "Sorry haven't found it yet" -option.
I think some flag must've been un-triggered since he didn't actually take the hilt the first time and now we're unable to continue with the quest. Also some of his voicelines are missing.
Is there anything we can do to fix the quest?
We tried pickpocketing him and giving him the hilt and then talking to him but alas, it had no effect.
