the blinded magister in the bog

did anyone else experience temporary heartbreak from this moment? i just went through it again and the voice acting plus the writing makes the scene feel very heart-wrenching despite its overall insignificance to the story

i just had to reflect on how effective this small moment was

Yeah, I agree. I think he's the guy with the rather touching personal letter on him, IIRC: I had to reload after things went a bit awry and try to find a hopefully better outcome. It served as a reminder that not all magisters are necessarily Teh Evilâ„¢, just another bunch of regular people for the most part. There's various other reminders of that as the story progresses.

i felt so bad for him that i let him cuff me so he'd trust me but that's when the walking dead intervene

definitely tore at my heart strings, you're on opposite sides but you can't be enemies

Considering that there's a baby bear cub crying over her mother, who was just slain by the magisters, a stones throw away, I had a hard time feeling bad for any magister.
