Winterfox, please edit the word "GrammarNazi" - it offends me as a German. It offends me if this historical crime is vulgarized and banalized - used in everyday terms.

Mmkay. Sorry for using a generalized, used-every-day-on-the-Net term. Please, do crucify me now.

Addendum to intellect/good spelling/grammar/credibility IMO:
The way, personal respect is expressed even if in a disagreement, the way emotional intelligence (if existing) is expressed, adds to credibility, too.

Duh. I mean my tones to be exactly what they are: tactless. By the way, unless you know me in real life, and you have also studied some psychology, I highly doubt you are able to gauge my emotional intelligence.

I just found that the right english term is "dyslexic".

These people aren't capable of language, maybe grammatics, because their brain isn't able to handle this. These are handicapped people.

There's a certain pattern to dyslexia - certain misspellings - that tell you it's genuine (as far as English is concerned, anyway). Another thing is that I never take things said on the 'Net in faith. Mental or physical disability is often used as an excuse for laziness, or to garner attention/sympathy. I've seen one people too many: "I'm dying! In the hospital! How dare you criticize my writings!", "I'm handicapped! My legs are deformed! How dare you criticize me!" (what, does physical deformity affect your brain?), ad nauseum. The "I'll die within this week!" people usually are found online two weeks after. Not to mention the, "Omg! You're so mean! I'll now commit suicide!" twits.

Tactless words and arrogance are are clear signs of lacking emotional intelligence. Of course I don't know you in RL, but I've read your posts on this board, Winterfox - and being in charge of psychological literature for 22 years does allow me to judge/see a certain pattern in choice of words and intention, regardless of flawless spelling/brillant thoughts.

Would crucifixion change your attitude in using this term? I highly doubt it. So, why should I bother in nailing a cross together, heaving you unto it and getting a blue thumb by using hammer/nails? Nope, this mental picture doesn't really grab me.

*shrugs* There is a difference between being intentionally arrogant/tactless and being so without meaning to.

Hit me. I only stated that I couldn't understand a person's post due to poor spelling/headache-inducing typing, and it degenerated into a quasi-flame war. Who'd have thunk it?

Yes ? How deep are we sunk ?

Why has the term describing the Masters of the most horrible Death become an "used-every-day-on-the-Net term" ??? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

Well, I think now it's time to think of something in reward.

Using the term "Nazi" "every day" is a clear sign that you have NEVER ever visiting an KZ, or seen a prisoner's jacket REAL LIFE.

I have seen it - and it makes my stumack grumble when I see somone using this horrible term like "marmalade" or "bread".

I guess you don't live here in germany - otherwise your point of view wouldn't be understandable - except you are a Neo-Nazi.

I'm stating a fact here, Alrik, not saying that I alone use the term on a day-to-day basis; it is used on the 'Net regularly. And no, I don't live in Germany.

UHH HASN`T THIS THREAD DRIFTED FAAAR AWAY FROM THE BEST RPG`S.IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A THREAD ON ETHICS AND ENGLISH 101,TRY STARTING ANOTHER THREAD.

BACK TO GAMES,

ANYONE THAT SAYS DIABLO IS NOT A RPG AND DIVINE DIVINITY IS NEEDS TO HAVE THEIR HEAD EXAMINED.

LIKE IT OR NOT PEOPLE, THEY ARE VIRTUALLY THE SAME GAME.LOOK AT THE LAYOUT AND THE WAY THE GAME IS DESIGNED AND PLAYED.BOTH HAVE YOU LEVELING UP YOUR CHARACTER WITH EXPERIENCE POINTS AND GETTING BETTER EQUIPMENT,DOING QUESTS.YOU HAVE YOUR CHOICE OF MAGE ,WARRIOR,ETC. IT IS AN RPG.

IF IT IS NOT, THEN NEITHER IS DIVINE DIVINITY.

SORRY ABOUT ALL THE CAPS, BUT I WANTED TO TRY AND DRAG EVERYONE BACK TO THE TOPIC OF RPG`S. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif" alt="" />

hmm, actually we have listed most of good RPG's to date, exchanging opinions, discussing and debating on this.

I am absolutely sure, that everyone still has his/her own idea on best RPG in universe.

So, is there a sence to continue with this thread unless you want to vote guys or unless there are excellent role-playing games still not listed here.

Well i've looked around to see wich games you guys think are the best rpg's and i have to agree in most cases, however i'm still missing two games. One might be a bit old and the other one not a real rpg, but if you count diablo2 as a rpg i think you can also call Deus Ex a rpg. And as for the old one i've not heard anyone mention the Bard's Tale serie, in my opinion one of the greatest games of that time.

IMO, it's the worst RPG ever. You have no save/reload option. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I would say that the best RPG ever was (and still is) :

Pac-Man

Man, it has eveything, goodies, badies, treasure, creatures from hell, a clear quest, leveling...dude, common in comparison to Pac-Man, Divine Divinity is just a rough copy.

I don't remember when it was, but I must've been playing very excessively.

I looked out of the window and the thought popped into my mind:

"How fast is the refresh rate of the Reality ?"

(Referring to the refresh rate of graphics cards, how they draw the picture on the Monitor.)

What is everyones opinion on these 2 games:

Arcanum-I am getting ready to start this one.

WIZARDRY 8-I got about 1/2 hour into it,then my computer crashed, pretty bad,as in repair time; but what little I played seemed really COOL.How is the rest of the Wizardry series compared to #8 ??

Also,is Arcanum worth playing ?? It`s hard not to resist the ability to take the Tecnology path or the Magic path ?
Which path works best ??

BOTH OF THESE GAMES LOOK VERY COOL !!
