The Divinity Engine 2 (DefEd) will not start. when i launch it on steam it will get to starting services and then crash with no pop-ups or errors showing. the first time i ran it i set the path to ...Steam\steamapps\common\Divinity Original Sin 2\Data. it crashed after setting that and after numerous reinstalls i cannot get the path set pop-up to happen again? did i use the wrong path? is there a way to adjust the path afterwards?

That's the problem. It is pointing to the old date.
It needs to be:
....\steamapps\common\Divinity Original Sin 2\DefEd\Data
