It'd be very interesting to know what happened to the paladin: did he/she end up getting corrupted by the Damned One or did he bring the news to the Divine One?

Also, he opened a rift to another place: we can see that. However, I suspect the place was likely Nemesis since I doubt he'd know the coords of any other dimension unless they were already written within the Book of Coords. And I suspect he'd quickly try and find a way back to Rivellon: it's not like Damien is going to waste time trying to find him. He's got better things to do.

Also, why the hell did my character trust the DK so much? For me, I was pretty ambivalent: I enjoyed the DK's humor but since he was from an opposing side, wouldn't some caution have been far better? Besides, he didn't really do anything to merit much trust from my character except for fighting in the battles which he was forced to take part in, unless he wanted to die.

If paladin isn't dead then he/she/it(child) probably is the most powerful character in the whole Divinity series. From all infinite battlefields paladin must have the very best gear in the universes, also slaying ton of bosses gave him/her all the experience in the world and knows rift running. Not to mention that paladin likely canonically knows late shaman magic from BD, which are completely overpowered : I destroyed Damian with sky hummer without ever taking a single hit from him. So if paladin is ever return to Rivellon he/she will easily kills Damian and Lucian (when she/he sees what a douchebag Lucian became). Maybe, after that, will go after God King who knows.

You might get a giggle out of this (although I'd like to know what project "E" was):

Project E was the code name for Divinity Original Sin. The executable name (EoCApp.exe) refers to the original working title, Eyes of a Child, but the plot had to be revised as the game kept growing in scope (initially there were going to be 2 main characters, with very different personalities and backstories, with one of the early revisions of the plot involving a child who could paint the future, and the Black Ring seeking to capture the child to exploit that ability).

I think that whould be great if paladin returns in Divinity : Fallen Heroes as main antagonist (hero who fallen and become the villain). For example he made a deal with archdemon Asmodeus in order to return in Rivellon and fell under his influence. But Swen Vincke hates Beyond Divinity so I doubt that we will hear about paladin ever again.

Oh Heck, I was hoping it was Divinity III.
