Someone on another forum noticed that BG3 has the developer placed tags for PVP on their steam page.

Also mentioned on the steam BG3 page is that BG3 will have steam trading cards.

well that doesnt have to mean a dedicated PvP mode.
If you look at OS2, you can easily PvP in that game, in fact, the game forces it upon you a couple of times.
I think itll be more in line with that rather than full PvP

well, in OS2 it made sense, but , dependign on how close Baldurs Gate will be to DnD, it probably wont make sense here.

DnD is not a game made for PvP, especialy not Arena PvP.

As long as it's not part of the main game, a PvP party vs party arena would be fine.

A lot of folks would enjoy it, it greatly extends replay value of the game, it uses the inbulit multi-player capabilities of the game, and it takes relatively few resources to do it. Great value generated for effort required compared to the actual campaign.

If it is a party vs part PVP then 8 people would have to connect to the game, thus there could be a larger party for non PVP.

Collateral damage is generally not considered PvP.

DOS2 2 also had PVP and that certainly isn't an MMO either.

Technically BG always had PVP, in multiplayer you were always able to fight against each other.

Came to this thread to make this comment. Hope this doesn't turn into another "Neverwinter"
