I would like to make a mod that hides dialog text unless the mouse is hovering over it. The reason is because I find it hard to focus on the voice acting if the text is on screen. I figure this might be easy if I can change the dialog text style to transparent by default, and opaque when the mouse is hovering over it. I notice that other text in the game has this property, e.g. response choices, so I'm hoping this isn't too hard.

I wonder if anyone could give me some pointers for where to start, like which APIs I might be interact with, how text/ui styling is controlled, and what controls the styling of the existing dialog. I'm new to Divinity modding, but a fairly experienced programmer.
