Hey, while streaming with a friend last night, I wrote down some issues/bugs/minor things that popped up.

While on the outside area of the aircraft on the first map, opening a tutorial messes up the colors of the scrolling background.

There's some general issues with physics. Ragdolls freaking out, Mindflayer tentacles being weird, and demon wings being floppy.

At some point a friend's character became unable to move at all. This might have something to do with going prone. We eventually fixed it by fully killing the character and reviving it.

Halfling animations can go very weird at time, stretching their bodies. This has happened during sneaking and certain dialogs

Familiars have issues following the player when climbing up ledges, and can end up getting stuck completely.
I climbed up a ledge, the spider couldn't follow. After I climbed down again, the spider was stuck in place and had to be resummoned.

Clicking on the plus icon to level up, it's possible to accidentally click the confirmation button right after.
This instantly ends the level up process. Could be fixed with a simple level up confirmation prompt.

Trying to loot items from a corpse using the right-click pickup option results in a "Out of reach!" error

Hunters Mark seems to carry over between combat. I killed something a while ago which ended combat. In new combat later on I was able to use it's re-apply option.
Not familiar with it in DnD, only googled the 5e description. Could be intentional in the game.

On multiple occasions characters ended up stuck in the dialog UI while in combat. It shows the bottom left buttons, but no exit button on the top right. This prevents them from doing anything during their turn, even skip the turn.
This was fixed by saving and reloading.

A plaque in the Druid's Cove has a weirdly large tooltip for being a single word.

During a conversation with a tiefling child in the Druid's Grove, one of the dialog options appear to be Drow specific, but the [Drow] tag did not show up in between the brackets.

On come occasions weird lights are visible during dialogs, coming from seemingly nowhere and creating harsh lighting.

Sometimes the inventory messes up, causing multiple items to stack on a single slot. Moving an item can force fix the entire inventory.

Character positions can mess up in dialogs. Resulting in characters facing away from the person they talk to, or for them to stand inside rocks in the background.

In the Owlbear cave, it is possible for a character to climb up a wall (as intended) but end up on the ceiling once done climbing. They might later fall off causing damage and prone.

An imp companion bugged out during combat, allowing it to have endless movement. This might be caused by desync that seemed to be happening around this time in the playthrough.

On character sheet some entries don't have a border by default. When highlighting them they end up getting a border, causing everything below it to shift a few pixels.

Not so much issues as suggestions or notes.
- The dice roll in it's current state is somewhat confusing. We eventually understood that the target number is the number after calculations. But, it seems to make more sense to show the actual target, roll the dice, and then show the number of the roll + modifiers. So, show roll + modifiers instead of target - modifiers. This feels more engaging that my numbers are strengthened instead of the target being weakened.

- Possibly give an option to turn off the chance % when doing actions. I understand that it's helpful for those that aren't familiar with DnD, hence why it should be kept as default. But it feels weird when you're used to pen and paper. Maybe (also) an option to only show bonuses such as high ground, disadvantage, threatened.

- There doesn't appear to be any way of seeing another player roll their dice when listening in on conversations. When playing DnD with friends it's fun for everyone to know the target and hoping for, and seeing, the roll result.

- Nothing seems to explain why I can't use a short rest again before taking a long rest, especially with the heal station in the tutorial level. A simple tooltip saying "Usable once(?) per day. Replenishes with a long rest" on the button would do wonders.

- The default keybind for hiding is 'c' which is typically used for the character menu, resulting in doing the wrong thing by habit. Yet 'h' doesn't seem to be bound to anything while it's the first letter of hide. Possible left over from the skill originally being called 'crouch'?

Using K+M on Stadia. I am unable to click on a Dead player when trying to resurrect them when using Help -> Resucify Scroll.

I have encountered this issue with an item that is supposed to grant 1 cast of Speak With Dead per day. It allows me to cast it repeatedly, with the recast variant of the spell.

Hunters mark lasts 8 hours and can be re-applied during that whole duration (D&D 5e rule)

my list so far. i am in druid grove and have taken the quest "save arabella"

bugs:
- translation german: spell grease - translated as "fett" should be "schmieren" - scroll is correctly translated
- translation error: druid grove soup-seller not translated to german (choice 5)
- khagas key description is not translated into german

- freeing githyanki said my kin instead our kin to my githyanki char
- druid grove tiefling child perception throw is possible twice - third throw possible but throw is auto-fail
- previously sold items quantity is shown as high value (more than 1,5kk ore in the negative), when switching character during selling

graphic bugs:
- hands are not animated in dialoge (ex. old potion lady in druid grove gives you potion - potion lays sideways and hands don't grip flask)
- previously sold items are not shown with picture, when switching character during selling
- clipping errors after killing enemies - corpes ragdolling arround excessivly sometimes (ex. corps got almost shot out of map in fight with mindflare servant on the ship)

When trading you have the ability to swap character for trading (nice feature btw!), but the items comparison are still for the character that started the dialogue.

Multiplayer is saturating the host's upload:

Four of us were in game with massive de-syncs forcing us to give up. The game was saturating my upload @ 14 Mb/s during combat (I was the host). I'm not surprised the latency was unplayable.

There seems to be some bug with quests not updating after completing the required step.

Examples (in spoiler tags):

Masterwork weapon
Quest didn't update after I found and looted the Surrus Bark in the Underdark. I'm stuck in the "find Surrus Bark" step and the quest marker keeps following my character if I have the item in my inventory.



Nightsong
Quest didn't update after solving the moon circle puzzle in the temple and opening the door to Underdark. I went all the way in and the quest was still pointing me backwards to the moon puzzle room to "open the door". Updated only after I re-opened the door with the lever.

Seems like the manual dice roller isn't taking ability score + proficiency into account. Numerous times I've had a target of, say, 7 and I roll a 4 with a +3 - if it meets, it beats, this is not being applied, it seems. If it is being applied, then the meeting of the target is not passing, as it should be.

The Ranger's "Hunter's Mark" bonus damage does not apply to attacks with an off-hand weapon, be it from using just a bonus action to attack or a full "Dual-Wield" attack.

Items will sometimes stack up onto other items in the inventory.

The Hotkey "V" to swap between ranged and melee weapons does not always work; it will play the sound but your character will not swap their weapon set.

Character Creation

Creating a Half-Elf cleric (I assume more domains will be coming as being able to choose your god but being limited to Light, Trickery and Life is very limiting) and I do not get the options of choosing 2 proficiencies (Skill Versatility in the Players Handbook) meaning unless I go for a Sailor background I cant choose Perception as a skill.


In a cave where I find a prayer so say to open a container. There is no explanation on how to say the prayer though the character admits this is what will open the container (Reading it does nothing, Right clicking the prayer and container gives no options, using a cleric also gives no options)

Dying because the game keeps damaging you while in a cutscene (Dark Tome) which you cannot avoid. If there is a cutscene the damaging effects should pause while we have no control

Mage Hand appears to have hitpoints and can be killed which limits its use (like moving items from traps)

Bugs:
• Playing on steam, created a multiplayer lobby and only the most recently joined player's Steam Name and Icon showed up.
• After my first conversation with Gale my Raven familiar stopped flying when idle, it was frozen mid-air, this might be a timed thing and not exactly to do with Gale, but was when it happened for me.
• First noticed multiplayer characters still had a "listening" icon above them after leaving a scene, this first happened after the intellect devourer "Us" scene.
• Personally had a graphical bug where in a 4player group when I watched the first scenematic with Lae'Zel the controlling player's "parasite effect pulse" didn't stop for the whole scene, the other players did not experience this.
• When playing with 4players and picked up Us and Lae'Zel on the illithid ship the string of player portaits in the bottom left covered most of the melee/ranged attack buttons. Experienced on 2560x1440.
• Playing 4player multi and on the illithid ship 3 death saves didn't get the player up with 1hp, they stayed "down".
• First scene with Astarion he isn't holding his dagger so much as it looks glued to his hand.
• Inventory contents dissappeared at times durign a 4player game, this was resolved by sorting the inventory for the affected player, but was jarring and unexpected.
• Speaking with Zorru near to the caged goblin in the Hollow plays the wrong audio clip or shows the wrong text, either way they don't match.
• In the druid grove when I first got there, I spoke with Mino but his conversation line cut itself off prematurely, 99% sure I didn't press space bar.

Graphical Issues:
• During the Transponder room dragon scene, the player was hovering above the floor.
• On the first long rest my Wood Elf was lain on his bed, but was hovering obviously above the bedroll.

Suggestions:
• In multiplayer games when watching cinematics please could we watch the controlling player's roll, it feels wierd waiting for something to happen without seeing it, it would be an amazing moment celebrating or comiserating a roll together instantly without waiting for a report from the controlling player.
• Please can we have a ping function like that of DOS2, so that when playing multiplayer we don't have to go into excrutiating detail to describe what we are suggesting to each other, "other there by the pot next to the pillar" "which one there are six pillars", a ping funciton which shows up ingame would help speed player interactions and help alleviate frustrations.
• Character portraits are naked? Could they be wearing their current gear please?
• Custom Character cinematic conversation choices are great, but can we please have them voiced? Some rare interactions are voiced from our custom character and it's beautiful to experience. A mute protagonist isn't the most fun.
• If a player is rolling death saves and we wish to help them perhaps clicking on them could be context sensitive to auto-"help".
• Could the game please auto-save either before entering a long rest at the camp or after exiting it please.
• Overall more auto-save triggers in the first area would be nice too, although not entirely necessary.
• When connected and filled a multiplayer party into a lobby could we please have a "load game" button so we don't have to go into character creation mode.
• Alternatively related to Multiplayer loading; when the save-holder has loaded the save could we please be able to invite players to the game from the "session" screen.

Weird lighting bug when having conversation with people in camp (happened several times with Gale, Shadowheart, and Lae-zel).

Gale at camp appears to take out and read something, however he is holding nothing and is doing a reading animation.

The cook 'Okta' in druid camp is stuck in same pose entire conversation.

Fog cloud effect seems to show some square/plane in some lighting conditions.

No sound in cutscene when opening the large Sarcophagus (where the hooded undead appears from) in the ruins.

A lot of times the playable characters will walk through closed doors.

Carry/weight limit seems to be broken and appears to cause 'Encumbered' only at 90 weight at double your weight limit instead of actual value that's shown.

Inside the herb cellar in in 'Blighted Village' and further inside behind the mirror door the camera bugs out and both characters and enviroment seems to dissapear. Zooming in close makes it so you can see everything again. This appears to be a common camera bug inside small and tight areas.

Another stream, another list

Clicking to melee attack a target in combat makes me path past another enemy first. While still walking, it enters the other unit's range, and gets hit with an attack of opportunity (entering melee range, not leaving).
In addition, the movement was interrupted before reaching the target, yet the cost of the action is still used up. It should either refund the action, or not use the requirements until the actual action takes place

When trying to path around a target to get behind it, the suggested pathing can suggest movement that would trigger an attack of opportunity, even when a safe path is also possible.

Weight limit isn't well explained. On the timestamp I'm wondering why having 50/40 weight isn't affecting me. I google the 5e rules, but they don't seem related. Later on I find out that you get over-encumbered at 2x you limit, but this isn't explained.

The action log doesn't (always) scroll to the latest action. This could be by design. Regardless, a button to jump to the very bottom of the log would be appreciated.

The level up 'menu' needs to have a lot more information presented to the player. Essentially their character sheet and in some cases spell info.
Example of reasons:
Eldritch Invocation 'Agonizing Blast' mentions it will adds your charisma modifier as damage, but the info on the left only shows your actual charisma. If you're not knowledgable with DnD, you might now know 17 = +3.
Eldritch Invocation 'Armour of Shadows' allows you to cast Mage Armor, but doesn't show what that spell does, not helpful for people new to DnD.
Eldritch Invocation 'Devil's Sight' gives a form of dark vision. I have dark vision as a Tiefling. I remember that, some might not, but even then I don't know if this invocation is a better version of what I already have.
Eldritch Invocation 'Beguiling Influence' gives proficiency with deception and persuasion. I think already have proficiency with one of those because of the backstory, but I can't check to be sure

When equiping an item from a loot window, it doesn't always equip the item.

Encountering the devil for the first time in camp, my friend tried to use the 'attack' option twice. On both occasions it skips the conversation to either the second part or the end with no combat.

Companion jump actions such as the Imp's fly and the Giant Spider's jump use a blue bonus action icon, despite either using speed or an actual action. This could simply be because these spells don't have a custom icon yet.

At some point characters took damage from an unknown source. The action log indicated the damage, but no source. Only looking at it after the fact did I realize it was probably a trap that I failed the perception check for.
The damage roll tooltip was also void of any information. To help avoid confusion, maybe it could indicate it came from an unseen force or location, as this would look less like a bug or incomplete.

Since companions can't climb up walls/ladders like humanoids can, they will instead path another way around. This can cause the companion to run into enemies and get into combat on their own.

Actually not sure what happened here. At first I thought this was one of the cases where a projectile wouldn't follow the preview path and hit the terrain (that can happen regardless, it's an issue).
Looking back at it, the concentration gets broken for I assume a Hunter's Mark that was still going on a goblin that fled. But I have no clue what happened with the Ensnaring Strike that was shot. According to my friend my character was in the ground on his screen (I'm the host)

Possibly not a bug, but more a lack of feedback or just an unusual situation. I tried to web an Etterling standing on a web bridge. Nothing happened. I assume because it's immune to it, but I expected at least a message that it had no effect.

At some point during combat, my Giant Spider companion got stuck going in and out of combat over and over. This was fixed by having another character shove the spider.

In the Phase Spider cave, it's possible to send jump, or fly an imp, down into the deep pit, resulting in death. Haven't tested, but a character jumping down might possibly not be revived due to the distance.

Ground fire still there after a long time (almost an hour), even though the tooltip says it should only have been there for a total of 12 turns (that number never went down)

Destroying the chest with Highcliff's Blueprints, caused the blueprints to fly halfway into a wall, causing it to be unreachable to read or pick up. This was fixed by throwing the item somewhere else.

This is heavy into desync territory. My friend leaves the game and I try to finish combat solo, but am unable to end the turn. Note how there's no imp companion portrait above the warlock (halfling) portrait in the bottom left. Saving and reloading fixed the imp portrait and let me end its turn.

Entering camp, we are instantly attacked by Scratch. It's unsure if this is intentional or if something messed up as it just happens with no lead up.

Pathing off a roof can show you a line straight down as to indicate walking off it. This has no indication that doing so might be hazardous and potentially deadly. Making the line red, much like walking over a fire surface, might be a good idea.

When playing multiplayer, when two player characters are in a dialog with each other, it isn't always clear which player is currently picking, especially when you can cast a vote for the other player's options. This might be because of the dynamic cinematic currently not always showing the right character and the right time.

At the end of the druid cove fight, I rested for the night where Jeorna made 'stars' (no animation visually and camera angles were not focus on any activity). Then the next day, I go to enter the grove to sell the loot from the attack, and the druids, including Jeorna attack.

This could be due to not helping Kagha and locking the grove before the attack, however, nothing indicated that and it seems a betrayal to saving them from the raid.

I dunno if it goes in here, and if anyone else thinks its an issue, but having to log in every time I want to play or the game force closes. Also the 2FA pretty much makes it impossible to log in.

My input:

I got the warlock character in my camp without having a conversation with him first. Was just there, no introduction, or preamble. Chastised me for killing the goblin leaders without him. (Funny out of context)

The githyanki (sp) character had a permanent debuff in combat, but also gives that debuff each time she rarely manages to hit something

A few other bugs:

- In the beginning when the woman transforms into a mind flayer in the pod, the mind flayer is not visible in the pod post transformation.

- The "Secret" waypoint leading to Harper's Cache in the first map after the crash just disappears.

- when you move the camera, you cannot move up floors.

- The camera sometimes gets stuck on terrain like trees.

- In the cutscene with the cleric in front of the monastery there are times you can see the cleric model twice

- The character's mouths don't move sometimes when starting conversations

- sometimes in fights there is a lull when enemies are taking their turns and nothing is happening (no movement, no talking, no actions.). Not sure what they are waiting for.

- In the owl bear cave in the first map, after climbing the wall towards the owlbear location, the character will sometimes clip into the terrain way above the stairs. They only way to get down is to jump down and take a bunch of damage.

- Some items don't get highlighted in the UI

- sometimes characters walk through fire instead of pathing around it.

- Some of the scenes just seem dead. The main character sometimes just stands there awkwardly. But I'm assuming this will be improved upon before release.
