I love Borislav's new original main theme for BG3, but I also long for a version of it for the main menu that is a little more reminiscent of the classic BG1 theme, and it's sense of immediacy ("let's jump in right away"!) - and the good old 5/4 measure of course!
So I made a quick draft, maybe it could sound something like this? ^-^

Funny, that was my first though when starting the game too... BG1 and 2 had very similar main menue tracks.

Nice arrangement!

Thanks! Yeah, maybe I'll just get permission and finish it + publish as a mod ^-^

Great suggestion. When I first got the load up screen and the music started I was hoping and waiting for a tie-in to the original theme motif. Disappointed!

Would be awesome if they could address. But not highest priority smile

Sounded good! And I hope Larian can give you a permission before release date. I think the main reason for Larian opting out to make a theme song similar to the prequells is simply put, copyright. Since the original theme tracks are owned by Bioware/Black Isle.

There was one on youtube, that I really liked... fan made smile

, although I liked the main menu song (not too similar to BG music but still good)... Some of the battle music was not my favourite.

I really liked the theme on BG3 main menu and I hate BG1 & 2. Keep the current theme it’s great, in no way, shape or form do I want anything other than the world those games were set in.

I am extremely disappointed in the opening screen music. I LOVED DOS1,2 music and it gave an epic feeling to it. While the music in the rest of the game is great, the opening screen music when you first load the game is just annoying. It gets good after a while, but at that point more or less the loading screens are over and the actual game begins. If it started a bit later and removed the aaa and the eeeeh at first, it could still work.

Thanks! ^-^ Just a draft though, would need a lot more to really work.

No matter, it's already my unofficial, head cannon main menu theme... wink
