Don't do it!

It causes the game to repeatedly crash. You have to go back to a save before equipping them.

And I also had an issue with Glut's deceased "pets", but they didn't cause any crashes.

I think it hasn't been implemented yet. You cannot equip it with shield or with a melee weapon either. Which should be possible, at least it is in D&D 5e rules.
