Sci-Fi game. Is this something you would play or like?

Quite honestly I am very sick of fantasy games. It the same old elves, dragons etc etc. blah.

I would love to see them do a sci-fi game! What do you think?

well, since I lvoe Sci-Fi I'm all for it, but with a more performant engine though

I'd play it. Just have it not be exactly like <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />, but with lasers and monsters, please! Thats practicly what StarCraft is of the Age of Empires engine.

starcraft really does not use any age of empire engine, it surely uses it own, much better engine based on the warcraft II engine.

No way. RPGs are either sci-fi or fantasy these days. Simply saying that fanatasy has been overdone is a little bit unfair, since sci-fi RPGs are abundant as well. The whole genre as I see just has the problem of lacking quality, but that's certainly not Divine Divinity's problem (the game is high quality IMO). Anyway, no, I think Larian should stick to fantasy since the company is so damned good at it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

There is a SciFi-RPG in the makes. It's 2D (engine written complete in assembly). It's name is Restricted Area, developed in europe (germany).

I don't think it's terminator like. Have you read some Shaddowrun-books? For me, it sounds exactly like shaddowrun. Without the dragons <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

If this one were from larian, I would by it unseen, cause I like the cyperspace stuff. I've never heard from this company, but I hope it turns out good.
