I wonder if there will be this time NPC schedules ala Ultima VII/ Gothic. What do you think?

It'd be interesting, but it'd also kind of force you sleep at night if you came back to town lugging a bunch of treasure trying to sell. Maybe a thief-y merchant that buys and sells at night?

I like npc schedules personally. I thought they were great in Ultima VII.
They make the game more realistic imho. Probably a lot of extra work to implement well though.

yae, scedules, like Tingalf is only there at night, and then the guards appear. And the merchants go into there back rooms u keep wandering into, or in Verdistis, the brothel is only open at night, and all the merchants are there...

And the town guards throw you against walls at night.
I'd also like to see NPCs react to yuo holding a weapon. I know they get upset if you talk to them while armed, but you'd think that walking into a city with a double-headed axe raised above your head would cause some concern.

and u get arrested if u get caught at night, but u should be able to use ropes to climb to the top of the houses and hide!

That too. Ropes need to be more useful. Perhaps add a climbing skill which can let you get over some obstacles. The rope can add an extra skill point to it, but only if you can anchor it and it is long enough.

I was thinking more Quest for Glory. Things like the rope aren't essential, they're an alternative to play.

jump, climb, grappling hook. that sounds like commandos already. if this is implemented, larian will introduce a new character class: green beret. he comes with standard bowie knife, machine gun, ..... . & he can dig a hole to hide himself in.
riftcommando?
& yes, i love NPC schedules.

Grappling hook ? Do there exist hooks which are not grappling ? Digging, for example ? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Riftcommando would be if you were playing as a thief. You can bypass things and get behind enemy lines. A Warrior would still rush in with his sword swinging and the Wizard would blow them away before they could see him.

oh yeah, like in commandos2, u can use the rope to trip the enemy. better yet, in riftrunner maybe we can rig the tripping rope with booby trap spell.
riftcommando sounds good, ain't it? why not? the guy that's tied to the death knight as suggested in the banner wears modern clothes. ala buffy vampire slayer.
