If you have a character that takes a special attack, and during the animation of that attack they somehow trigger an attack of opportunity or otherwise have their motion interrupted before taking the action, their action is interrupted and not refunded. For example if a rogue attempts their sneak attack action, and something triggers a temporary freeze mid animation so that the user is aware that either they threatened or passed a saving throw or something like that, the standard action goes away with no effect. Never even rolls for a damage.

Yeah this bug is hugely annoying.

This happened with me and the harpies. Lea'Zel, went to do her menacing attack, and even though I clicked when there was percentages, and she was right next to it, it somehow got an opportunity attack on her, and I lost the menacing attack. She didn't even move out of range of the harpie, but was facing towards it.
