I would appreciate an option to toggle off the darkvision effect. It's a cool idea in theory and a nice touch, but it ruins a lot of the indoor areas. Instead of dim lit rooms and warm colours, everything looks overexposed. Also it makes you look like a walking lamp. In my party one has normal vision, 2 have darkvision and 1 superior darkvision, and the lighting keeps changing all the time.

Well that's the purpose of it, right? So you would like to be able to turn off a cool mechanic for the sake of aesthetics?

As long as they don't ditch the feature entirely, I don't mind. More options are always better than none.

It's a cool addition, but I wouldn't call it a mechanic. It just illuminates areas in which I can see regardless and if I ever need to light up the room I could always turn it on. I prefer the original aesthetics than the ones modified by darkvision, it really looks like there is a bright light source centered on your character. But what bothers me the most is that it keeps changing everytime I switch characters.

Would be a reasonable thing to have an option for.

I dunno ... cant say i would mind if this was optional ...
On the other hand, it seems a bit odd ... you also cant turn on and off seeing collors. :-/

Maybe they could add a cord with a switch, hanging from your head. Or just a pair of sunglasse, how a drow with superior darkvision can stand the light of day is beyond me.
