Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks What do I have to do to fall asleep?

My wizard is having trouble getting to sleep, even after teleporting out of a fight and into the basement of his house a million miles away. I'm not sure what's causing this! I'm thinking it could be either:

1. Enemies around the spot where I teleported from.
2. My house being located in that healer's village with a giant army of undead living underground. (I can see how that could make one nervous)

So, what do I have to do to get to sleep in this game?

there are houses in aleroth that have beds you can use i think they are, the houses to the top and right, i believe both have beds....... and there is also potions to buy from the ppl in Aleroth!............or.........

My problem isn't finding a bed, it's resting without geting the "This is no time to sleep" message even though the guys I was fighting are miles away.

I don't think there's any other way than just to wait a little bit. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> What you wanna do is "rest" but you can can't "sleep" unless your character is tired. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sleepey.gif" alt="" /> So try talking and trading to the townfolk for a little bit? Or something else to kill time. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" /> That should help.

Buddy 'el. How'd you get that far potion free? Have you been paying for healing or sleeping twice a day?

I think you can only sleep in the evening or at night. If it's morning or midday, you can't. How you tell if it's evening, I don't know.

I guess "normal mode" is like really easy in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> cuz I barely get hurt. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" /> By the time I get all my killing <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/party.gif" alt="" /> done and need to get healed, enough time has passed for me to use a bed <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sleepey.gif" alt="" />. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohh.gif" alt="" /> If thats the case, then it should be really easy to tell when its day or night. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> Don't know what else to tell you but the obvious: If its bright outside, its daytime. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/idea.gif" alt="" /> If its darker and you can see a light radius around your character, then its nighttime. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/stupid.gif" alt="" />

If you can't notice this difference <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />, perhaps your gamma is set too high or too low? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/exclamation.gif" alt="" /> Try adjusting the lighting and see if there's a difference.
