Does anyone know if there is a way to delete old saves since they are no longer useable?

That is for the game Divinity and has nothing to do with BG 3 as there is NO way to delete old saves in BG 3

This PC \Documents\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\ "name of profile" \ Savegames\

I delete all the profiles each time there is an update. If you don't want to do this then just delete the Savegames folder in each profile. Should work the same.

Or do it ingame slowly one after the other with the small Button bottom right in the Load/Savegame menu marked with an "X"

Just delete them. On Stadia, you just click on the save and hit the Y button on their controller. Easy-peasy!!
