The Rap Battle of Divinity

Fane

The Seven are parasites,
Source-sucking termites.
Top of the food chain,
Scripting your fool’s brain
Into believing they’re all great white tunnel lights.

But they’re trying to
Silence the science that’s sited inside us.
Frightened to godhood; my findings so pious!
The King, turned to Eighth, has returned now to try us
For excising him and the ones once beside us.

They better start showing some signs of compunction,
Cause I got a few thousand years long injunction
And ‘twas but a minimal curtain malfunction!

Beast

Oh, cry me a river!
Yer eyes got no kernels?
Well, timbers me shiver,
Ye shifty Eternals...

Shaping’s fer steel and fer sticks and fer stones,
Back off from beards and from blood, bile and bones.
We’re not yer cattle fer harvest and chases;
Meet me in battle and see who’ll rip faces.

Just like me cousin, who tried me fer treason
Using her throne as the power of reason.
Justinia’s justice is “just us” or jetsam,
So me and me Fran tell ‘er to come and get some!

Red Prince

From royal to rabble,
I tell you: you babble.
Now go back and dabble
In life most hardscrabble.

Yes, rulers skirt rules, even kindred-related.
But rue shall the tools that would rouse an ill-fated
Rejection of regal, robust regulation;
I’ll roast and reduce them, without trepidation!

‘Tis like potted elves, ornate in their vases,
Are meant for the shelves as a straight of fair faces.
Thus once spake a dreamer, imbued with some slosh:
Can’t birth it by Fiat, then raise it a Posh...

Sebille

No need to be a seer to see the searing scars that scarcely scratch the skin,
Yet break your back and bones by beating back the brain so deep within.
The slave song goons
Intone the tunes;
Their sordid shrieks ensnare my kin.

But it’s a master race to the bottom.
Scale-hide supremacy smashes the floor,
A shadow that twists in its festering core.
His trails thread my needle
On arms with writs creedal;
One by one, my daggers one-shot ‘em.

Their eggs, they are yellow. Their babies are blue.
But once I’m done stabbing, they’re all one green goo.

Ifan

Pierced, stabbed, slashed, smacked.
Been there, done that, got the contract.
So lucky for you none paid me in your case,
Or even Eternals could not find your face.

But killing whole peoples? That’s Lucian’s domain.
Divine intervention with fog on your brain.
The Source of all evil can’t but ascertain
That the power of gods ends up with the insane.

It needs divvying up till diluted to stardust;
Demolish dominion that no one can trust.
Provide equal access to those that subdue,
And –here, take my card– that’s what us Lone Wolves do.

Lohse

The wolf lashes out if you throw him a bone.
The elf cuts you short if she don’t like your tone.
With the Prince, you are toast lest you throw yourself prone.
The dwarf kicks your arse if it sits on the throne.
And the skull slays to cram or to clone.

And as for me?
Half what I be
Feels not my own.

My head, it is teeming with not quite just dreaming.
So tired of scheming,
Seeing my being sans chance of redeeming.
And then, when I wake up, I’m screaming.

I’m screaming and working the crowd as a con.
I’m yelling and singing of feelings half gone.
I’m fighting a fight I must trust can be won.

But meanwhile, my smile stays; the show must go on.
