Hi, can anybody tell me what the purple potion is for?

+20 health points; sell it.

That's less than a minor health potion, yet costs roughly 20 times as much. What gives?

Or is the bonus perm.?

No, it doesn't raise your maximum hit points, it is just a crappy potion. Maybe the bottle is made from expensive imported glass. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Oh it raises your MAXIMUM? There's a difference, see. Normal pots raise your CURRENT. That means that if you took 5 of those potions, you'd get a 100 HP bonus for a while, which you could then heal with normal pots. Sort of like a shield that takes 100 damage and is rechargable.

It does not raise your maximum hit points, just restores 20 health (and mana) to your current level.
