I'm playing Divinity Original Sin II (definitive edition) and it keeps "crashing" during the combat with Alexandar. Sometimes from the 2nd round, sometimes far later (when the Voidwoken has already appeared and killed a bunch of people).
The symptoms of the crash is that the frame rate goes below 1 frame / minute. The game and, in fact, the whole machine hang. When I play multi, audio is still working flawlessly (music + voice with a playing friend). But it looks like the game is "killing" the GPU.
I checked cpu and memory while the game was hanging and they were both fine (DOS2 is merely taking 1 core when running, and less than 25% of memory in total is used). It looks more like an interrupt or memory corruption problem on the GPU memory.
When I just kill DOS2 (force quit) and restart it, the frame rate is still less than one per minute, making the whole machine hang again. And that symptom disappear for the rest of the apps if I kill DOS2 again.
My machine is
iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020)
Processor 3,6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i9
Memory 64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
Graphics AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GB
+ 2nd monitor (USB-C linked). But I tried without the 2nd monitor and it's the same behaviour.
