I'm using "Interesting Uniques" as a base, and I've edited several unique items with no difficulty whatsoever, but I need to change the name and description of a unique item (specifically WPN_RC_UNIQUE_RichMerchant_Dagger_01; "Baran's Electrifying Dagger"), and I'm wracking my brain trying to figure out how to do it. There's a "ItemProgressionNames.txt" file that seems to have names and descriptions in it, but no changes seem to change anything.

How do I go about doing this? I feel like it should be as easy as messing with skills, but evidently it is not.

It's like the game doesn't read or care about ItemProgressionNames.txt at all; which is odd, because it seems to be reading ItemProgressionVisuals.txt just fine and changes are reflected in the game when the item(s) are spawned.

Alright, so I decided to make my own mod through the Editor, importing and then changing only the ItemProgressionNames for those two dagger entries specifically, puiblished locally, and disabled all other mods I was running.

No dice. The entire ItemProgressionNames file seems to be a red herring put there to frustrate attempts to mod the game. I suspect I could fill the entire file with nothing but unicode swastikas and nothing would change, at this point.

Changing something this basic shouldn't be this hard.
