once you saved the boy by sacrificing yourself, how to get back normal again?
'Many that live deserve death, and some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo?

You do not gain back any of the stats you lost, but you can get some from the orb by the dwarven village, or the wishing well...

yes, i always hate saving the boy, for it makes my skill points messy, and then i have to put like 1 in each thing, and end up loosing like 2 stat points (if u make a new level and have to rework 'em).

explain this to me like i'm a toddler. you lose ability points just to save the freakin boy and gain only experience right? i did save the boy but i didn't notice anything bad 'xcept me health nearly dried up. and got only xps, no reputation increase.

I hate that. there must be some way around that or is there only two options. What would happen if you got the door open before he spoke.

also, after you've killed the vampire, i think sir markham (?), the knight who's fighting a bunch of trolls on the road to verdistis, will grant you the skill "bless". though i'm not too certain about that, as i normally don't do this quest which requires a lockpick skill. i just read about it in one of the walkthroughs.

how much lock pick do I need. And what would happen if i let the poor sod die. Would a future quest be ruined or would I get toasted by lightning from the divine one?

You need level 2 lockpick for the door, or level 2 Telekinesis for the lever. There are no negative consequences (that I know of) for letting the boy die, besides missing the rewards you would have gotten by saving him.

Hehehe i let the boy die up there thinking i could just revive him with my resurect. To bad it didnt work though Well at least i saved myself from losing 3 stat points Liked the reply to the mother of the kid when i said my life was more important then the boy's *grinn*

Restoration is much better than bless because it's healing, whereas bless only raises a few stat points.

well i got "bless", and i much prefer it than "restoration" as a reward. "restoration", just like any skill in dd has its uses, but i would rather drink a restoration potion (even a minor one will do) than cast restoration to heal myself. "bless", on the other hand, is a very powerful spell at mid- to hi-levels. it is enough to sway a battle in your favor, even against tough bosses.
