While i would normaly say Halsin, or Minthara ...
They were requested so hard so if we ever get pur hands on NPC companions i dare to say that they are granted.

So i would be a little tactical here and say Abdirak.
And to explain my choose ... just inagine:
You know how companions say "Ha!" when enemy misses them? I would love to hear Abdirak say dissapointed "Aw..."

Nettie is probably my favourite NPC. I also like the antler-druid arguing with Snek-Druid, he's probably the most druidy druid in the camp to my senses.

The tiefling child-conner -- Mattis? -- is a definite member of my group. A party needs a Rogue after all. He gets a special ability where he throws the shy tiefling child at the enemy to distract them.

Then the Squirrel. Barbarian, obviously.

I also wouldn't mind the Hobgoblin leader guy or the Scholar Goblin.

Edit: oh and if course the camaraderey goblin who says tribe! She is a must.

Owlbear cub?

Probably Nettie - she seems like a good fit for a companion with a lot of room to grow. I also like her VO. Of course, aside from the fact that as a character she doesn’t have depth beyond “healer novice, who tries to kill you, as she can’t cure you”. But she does it in very sweet, considerate way. Girl has guts.

Halsin could send Nettie with you. I haven't seen Dwarf Druids before in games and her apprentice status matches the low level party.

You know, that kind of companion that doesn't have to be an origin to side with you. I help you, you help me, then we're walking to BG.

He's a mercenary and exploring dangerous area can help him to become rich.

Just enough to add a companion a bit more basic. Which would be cool to add a bit more variety and a bit less wtf companions.

I think if this thread has proved anything a lot of the bit players have been well written

How could I forget? Probably will end up being Tuffet's arch nemesis, once I copypaste the Owlbear cub over Sleepybear. After I sleep for a few more hours or the list grows like a magic beanstalk lol

I'd rather have the fishing bear than Tuffet. Gotta have somebody scrounge up the dinner in the wilds

My vote is Lakrissa the Tiefling, one of the only cheerful characters.

Or Omeleum in a party with Laezel… worth it just for the banter.

Keep it going however long you like. I think it'd be fun for sure! Doubtless there would be substitutions, but least it gives a gist! Clearly a little heavy on Druids, Tiefs and Gobbos, but just imagine when we get some more Gnomes and Dwarves and whatnot!

Omeleum is a great idea, mind flayer in the party is very cool. Because this is that mysterious race of antagonists that cannot be created in the editor - very attractive.

Abdirak would be good as a follower in the camp, but not a full-fledged companion

I have a feeling that those who want Minthara to become a companion will get their wish, based on how consistently they are altering Minthara's appearance from patch to patch, and the amount of effort they put into her romance scenes. I'll be surprised if she doesn't turn out to be a companion later on in the story. Too much time and money spent on her to be a throw away character.
