Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Crashing from the Launch window.

As the title says

Open the launch window and select Vulken or Direct X it doesn't actually matter and then the screen goes black and the crash report window pops up.

Haver tried all the suggestions in the threads regarding this with no luck.

Running Windows 11 but do doubt that is the issue.
Have not had any issues prior to the latest patch.

Any ideas for next steeps or should i just wait for patch 7 and hope its sorted by then.

The grab bag of fixes worked.

Try browsing to the '..\Documents\Larian Studios' folder and delete the 'Baldur's Gate 3' folder.
This folder contains the saved games, profiles and configuration files. Normally I would suggest renaming the folder for troubleshooting purposes, but if you don't have any saved games that isn't an issue.

The graphicSettings.lsx file is set to 1280x720 Windowed mode, Very Low quality preset and low audio quality, which you can change in the options (manually, or hit autodetect) if this gets the game working.

Tried this several times as well as delete and reinstall. Nothing works at all.

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue over here on Windows 10 w/ AMD Radeon RX 5700 GPU and current (Jan 2022) driver. I've tried everything suggested here https://larian.com/support/faqs/launcher-crashing_63 and here https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/baldurs-gate-3-not-launching-fix/

Nothing has worked. Crash Report window appears right after pressing Play in the launcher. No crash report is generated. This is on Steam, my other games launch and run just fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

I encountered this issue 7 months ago (roughly) and I haven't been able to launch the game since. I do, however, get crash reports ever since the last update. So... I guess that's progress.
