The exact same has been happening to me with cutscenes not working as they should do and companions no longer having the reaction dialogue to the Blighted Village - Interrupting The Ogre Couple & 2nd night at camp conversations with your party, only one party member will have their cutscene/dialogue.
It only worked for me with Lae'zel or Gale. Astarion had nothing to say but did have his dialogue in previous patches along with Shadowheart.

I also had multiples of Astarion after first night at camp.

I also got the Astarion double, but he disappeared eventually. I couldn't interact with him or anything.

I can still get his dialogue on the second night at camp, but only if companions' whose dialogue take priority over his are dead or not in the party.

I have the same issue as you. Might be because I used mods in the previous playthrough, however I deleted the mod files as specified and did a file validation on steam. The issue persists.

1. I didn't do the Auntie Ethel event before going to the Underdark. From there I used the teleporting circle to appear at the backyard of her house. But the locked door did not show, it showed as an open doorway that I could not cross when I tried to. I solved this by using Githyanki jump to the veranda on my right, then when I tried to access the doorway from theother side it now displayed the door properly and I could lockpick it.

There has been many other graphical glitches like this since patch 7's introduction of blackened rooms.

2. Attacking a prone enemy doesn't give advantage.


3. The map is bugged and now usually doesn't show explored areas after you load a save.

4. Astarion gets no penalty for wearing the Speedy Lightfeet boots despite them being medium armor. Tooltip says he is not proficient but it doesn't apply any negatives (A Thief Astarion is really awesome with these boots!).

5. Not sure if it's a bug, but when visiting the area where Dhourn should be a Spectator was there, and then it spawned Dhourn who immediateöly joined combat on its side. I might remember wrong on how it should be, but should there be a dialogue with him after killing the Beholder?

I'll post my small list here, patch 7 before hotfix 20

Myrnath (guy on chair in intro) - When Inspected looks like he's falling back down. This might be related to being killed.

Where you meet Lae'zel on the ship you can hear and read (chat log) a convo from lesser imp, wounded imp, and enthralled cultist on the second level.

First fight on ship when you inspect a flying imp they'll pop forward & back or up & down in the inspection window.

Dead Thralls inspected are laying on the ground instead of standing

No advantage against prone enthralled npc on the ground

In Tab menu can not use cycle character hotkeys to pick other characters

The cinematic of npc changing into a mindflayer seems off like ambient sounds or something is missing.

Running with two halflings, did the secret area and followers jumped down with me. Jumped up and Shadowheart followed but halfling follower was stuck on bottom not moving.

Did the second area my halfling companion made the jump down but cant get back up via jump.

Entombed Scribe on right side when at door that initiates encounter and facing npcs, he will continue to try and cast acid splash and doesn't actually attack, like he's hitting a unanimated object or something.

After undead battle there is a convo between multiplayer characters, my second character is just named "Avatar" using his actual name would be less confusing on who is talking during these conversations.

When trading with a npc and swapping over to barter, game will auto sort the inventory. Once you click a item it'll unsort back.

When you go to drag a item from inventory to bag/backpack it makes a ant trail around the bag/backpack icon

This last one is not a bug but pretty annoying, basically if you do multiplayer there is no way to remove custom characters from the party and swap them out for origin characters.

I had a weird bug that caused a non-active party member to become hostile back at camp. I vaguely remember something like this happening early days.

It's possible resurrecting a dead party member triggers it.

I'm sure this is a bug that's been mentioned before, because it's been there in every patch, but you cannot get Astarion's nightmare cutscene after the second tadpole dream if Shadowheart is at your camp. (The scene where you wake him up from the nightmare.)

I used to be able to get it by downing/killing her temporarily, but you can no longer long rest if a companion in your party is downed or dead. So the scene is impossible to get if Shadowheart is recruited. The only way to get it is if you dismiss her then permakill her. It's not possible to resurrect her via scroll or Withers the skeleton if you do that.

Not getting this scene also seems to lock me out of the scar reading scene, even if I romance him and see the scars that way.

Another bug that's been present in the last couple of patches is Astarion's dialogue about Cazador. Even if he's talked about Cazador multiple times you still have to ask him who he is after you meet the monster hunter.

It used to be that, when you talk to Astarion after the first time Cazador is mentioned, he explains who he is. Now you can't get that particular dialogue until after you meet the hunter.

It's all very confusing/immersion breaking. I'm sure it will be fixed at some point but I thought I'd mention it in case the devs are unaware.

I never recruit her anymore because she overrides Astarion's scenes. Good to know I need to continue doing that.

Before, people were complaining that Astarion talked about Cazador as his vampire master before they had the bite scene that reveals Astarion as a vampire. Now they reversed it, so even if you already know Cazador is Astarion's vampire master, after dream 2 Astarion just says "He was a... slaver in Baldur's Gate," as if you don't know Astarion is a vampire. I think they don't have enough checks on what he should say and when, so there's redundant dialog about Cazador now.

Great patch! Now there is no terrible subsidence of productivity.
But there are some nuances that I would like to point out.
1) At some moment (I suspect that after visiting the "Zantarim Sanctuary") the character seems to have forgotten the map. Now, even if you once again run through all the places passed and reopen the map, after any dialogue, entering a small location, the fog of war will reappear all over the map. Not that it creates insurmountable difficulties for the passage, but there is still some discomfort.
2) Sometimes the ability to switch to another party member is lost - he responds with remarks, but does not switch.
3) Sometimes one of the party members randomly stops following everyone, but simply remains standing. You have to manually guide him to the rest of the team.
4) In a dialogue with the larva of the deceased Edwin, the sound of the voiceover begins to jam. Never seen this before...

Unfortunately, the new hotfix followed in the footsteps of the previous ones - performance began to drop again. Departures became regular and frequent. It becomes impossible to play.

In addition, despite the fact that I, on the advice of a specialist, limited the number of frames, the feeling that the game continues to accelerate somewhere.
Moreover, at startup and the first loading, everything goes briskly and well, but after a while game starts to seem to get heavier, and then it crashes altogether.

Yo,Larin... Fix My Game! That latest update with the Barbarian Class is crashing my game. Im no game designer, so i shouldnt have to go in and fix my own game when i paid you good loot. Now i know its early access, but damn. Send out a patch or whatever it is you do AND FIX MY GAME, PLEASE.

I found if you decide to expose Khaga as a shadow druid and either kill her or get her to side with you. If you forget to talk to Zevlor before rescuing Halsin and sometimes even after that. When Halsin returns to your camp he is stuck in bear form and you cannot interact with him (Post party cutscene)

Every NPC becomes hostile after random actions that might or might not make NPCs hostile towards my party. Once the hostility of one NPC occurs then every other NPC in the game I encounter becomes hostile without a reason. This requires for a new game EVERY TIME as it doesn't seem to get fixed with file verification

Patch 7 here I wanted to add I didn't see this mentioned anywhere but there is a lot of replies here but Halfling's first Illithid Dream ends early. This happened to me rarely and after a couple times I was finally able to piece together that it was on my halfling characters. Regardless of the choice you make in the first dialogue option the dream will end there and if you go speak to Gale all 3 option responses will be to lie because you never got the option to give in, remain silent, or relent. It just ends early. If you speak to Lae'zel it will be treated as if you gave in.

Big Issue:

- in the defiled temple, I managed to turn the lever without solving the puzzle and entered the outpost
- however, when i leave the outpost and return, I get stuck half way down the ladder.
- i managed to solve the puzzle afterwards but it didn't fix the problem
- i cannot move ahead in the game, please fix this!

How does it work? Extremely uncomfortable to play
