The release date is still unknown, but I think somewhere in the end of 2021. I hope this game will be able to help Solas, it would be an interesting option. I passed the Inquisition for the elf magician girl who romanced Solas. If he is only an antagonist without the opportunity to take his side, then it will not be interesting.
Minthara is the best character and she NEEDS to be recruitable if you side with the grove!
I highly doubt we will have an option to take his side because his side means way too many deaths and DA is about fighting evil, not helping it. There might be an option to change his mind at the end tho. He was our friend, romanced or not.
It would be a nice option to just be able to be like "you know what? I hate everything too! I'm with egg boy" and just destroy everything! Will admit getting to punch him in my game was so satisfying! So I dont know if I would side with him! But still hope they do include the option to become evil!
What I'm really hoping is that dorian and fenris are possible companions as they both are in the place where the game will be set!
Yeah I saw this myself and am very excited. Don't care about all the cynicism and sniping, I'm really looking forward to this game.
As for Solas, I agree they are not likely to allow us to side with him outright. But I agree the option to change him and move him in a "good" direction may be available. And if that is so, I would definitely take it because in Inquisition I've had him as a really good friend right up until his betrayal. His reactions to the PC in this context when you meet him later is just fantastic writing.

Dorian is a very interesting prospect as well. I played a straight male Inquisitor, and even though I rebuffed Dorian's romance option I subsequently became very friendly with him, so much so that at the end of the game he tells me a bunch of stuff about how I'm like a brother to him and in this way the best relationship he's ever had with anyone. Another example of some stellar writing in that game imo.
Just look at this scene, Solas cannot be an absolute antagonist like Corypheus, too many people liked him and his goals and motivations are understandable. Perhaps there will be other Evanurises involved, and the plot will be really interesting

I really want this game to be good. If only one of the games I'm expecting can be good, this should be this one. purely from emotional level I want Bioware to regain their glory a little
I cant wait. Its gonna be such a great ride, BG3, Diablo 4, Dragon Age 4, Witcher 4, probably ES6? Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is worth to mention as well.
I hope Dragon Age 4 will be as good as BG3! They have had lots of issues at Bioware, so idk if they can make a game that good (or close to it). Will wait and see!
I must say, I'm a big DA fan and I loved old Bioware, but that studio basically doesn't exists anymore with how many devs, they had let go. And I have a lot of problems with EA, so I might actually not play DA4.

I can understand. But for me, I actually like for there to be turnover among devs in a studio, because the same people making the same games again and again eventually results in creative stagnation. It's good for creativity to have "new blood."
