she's not. any major characters have much more lines that hers.
it's just that we will reencounter tiefling refugees in the shadowland. a lot of them get attacked by the Absolute cultists and taken to the moonrise. some may even die. she's one of the lucky survivors.

If no, I wonder if her costume with its jester motif is a piece of armor for Bards. Now I want to go back and kill her to see if it drops.

Hmm...I thought playing her song on Panel from Hell might be a nod.

Who knows though, they haven't introduced an Origin character since the beginning.

Im sory, but i have to disagree here ...
What you said tells us only that Alfira is not Origin character, wich should not even be the question, since she have completely different story that dont originate on Nautiloid at all ...

But she still can be a companion.
Traumatizing experience can push person of their edge ... i for one can totally imagine Alfira saying "THATS ENOUGH" and finaly start fighting back.
