Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Accidentally deleted my save file. Is there a way to recover it from the cloud saves?

So it turns out that the push to talk key for Discord on my mouse is actually bound to my "delete" key. While I was trying to load a save, I pressed it to talk, and when the confirmation screen popped up to delete the save, I hit "yes", thinking it was asking me if I wanted to load the save file. Needless to say, that file is now gone in both the menu as well as the game folder.

I saw that the game has cloud backup for the saves, so I was wondering if there was any way to restore the deleted save? Thanks in advance.

First you have to have it enabled , cross-saves is an option to tik box

Then your network allows it to upsync and finally yes if you then delete the save locally it can be recovered by using a different computer or a fresh install of the game... The actual steps depend on which build of the game and what system but as a side issue running discord on the same system as the game is a bad idea
