Please turn down and remove Halsin's horniness in act 3, it's almost his whole personality, whether you talk to him or not he makes many comments about or to your romance partner even if you denied him. He just is a pest about it all the time and feels like that's his whole purpose in the game and then his interjection with the drow scene. No other character is like this except him it's gross and really feels like he is there for sex appeal.

He is, so don't expect it to change.
He initially wasn't even a companion before the thirst in early access started.

Halsin makes great sacrifice for Orin. I never bother to save him.

They did mention adding a friendship path for him in patch 5 notes but he’s still quite insistent and flirty.
Larain knows a lot of people are disturbed by his horny personality in act3.

I unfortunately think that it was a collective decision at Larain to change Halsin from really cool mature caring character to an annoying horny character which is a shame as i really did like him in act1 and the beginning of act2.

According to patch 7 notes They added new response from him being sacrificed to orin so idk what he says as I’m on console but at least we can still get rid of him in act3 though I would have preferred an option to tell him to stay in the shadow lands to help rebuild it and have him remain in the shadowland until the final fight and have him bring the durids from the grove.

If you don't flirt with him and not raise his approval too much (read: don't take him along to bring Oliver back) he leaves you in peace - at least in camp. I don't know about any banter because I don't usually take him along.
