Since Patch 7 came out I've been getting a number of errors and warnings from the new integrated mod manager, and I'll be damned if I can make sense of some of them. Consider the following:

To be clear, I'm using a mix of mods from Larian/Modio and the Nexus. Some of the mods are prompting me to downgrade (why would I want do to that?) Others have a warning that says "Disable mod" and a checkbox. Does putting check in the box *disable* the mod, or does that leave it *enabled*? I ask because unchecking the box, makes the "Disable mod" message disappear.

Could use a little clarity here. There isn't by chance some documentation on warnings and errors from the new mod manager is there?

When in doubt, I would try to start a new game - if it works, load your current gameplay. But those warnings are basically just saying, that they are third party mods, that different variations seem to be available and the section below just informs you, that new mods are detected and that you can disable them, if you didn't intent to load them in.

Hello!

So this is the verification window, that aims to give you some information about the mods you have installed. The explanations for the notifications you are getting are:

- Download: You’ll see the option to download a mod if you don’t already have it installed, but the Multiplayer session or savegame has that mod enabled.
- Enable: If you don’t have a mod currently enabled, but the Multiplayer session does, you’ll see the option to enable it.
- Update: You’ll see the option to update a mod if you have the mod enabled, but the Multiplayer session has a newer version.
- Downgrade: You’ll see the option to downgrade a mod if you have the mod enabled, but the Multiplayer session has an older version.
- New Mods: Mods listed under New Mods are ones that you have enabled but are not enabled in the Multiplayer session you are joining.
- Third-Party: Mods listed as Third-party are mods that are not available via the in-game mod browser.

In either of these cases, these notifications are just for your information and you should be able to click "Start Game" and continue forward without any further action.
When on multiplayer it's still important to make sure all participants have the same mods and the same version of them active.

@Salo Thanks for the feedback, but the situation is a little different than you’re thinking. This is a modded save from Patch 6 I am attempting to load with a Patch 7 executable after attempting to update the older mods.

The primary point of confusion for me is the third party mod handling. There is a check box next to the mod that says ‘third party mod’ and ‘disable mod.’

**Does checking the box to the right DISABLE the 3rd party mod or ENABLE it?**

Make sure, the mods you use are compatible with patch 7. By now, most modders have either made new versions or in the comment section on s a note from modder or player, that the mod is compatible.
If you play with a mod, that doesn't work on patch 7, I wouldn't risk loading the save.

Afaik, checking the box (putting that green V in it) ENABLES the mod. At least this is how it works in my games.

This is also what I have come seeking the answer to. It's really not as clear as it could be, and a straight answer (does checking that box leave the mod enabled, or does checking it disable it?) or a lead toward some sort of documentation on how this all actually works would be extremely helpful.

When I try to load a modded save, I get this screen.

Whether I click Start Game or Cancel, I get this screen,

and I can't start a new game, it loads for a bit and then goes back to the 'Press any key to continue' page. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Athanor, from my experience the first set of messages means that your mods aren't in the Mods folder (or possibly that they're not properly included in modsettings.lsx.) The second empty dialog box is caused by having an old version of ImpUI (aka Improved UI) intended for patch 6 or earlier. Delete the old one, and install the latest patch 7 version of ImpUI.
