Welcome to the forum, qnq77 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

It's the end of Div 1. Morbo is right, we'll know what happened when Riftrunner appears - it plays 20 yrs after Div 1.
Just my guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if the baby is 20 yrs now.

And what about polymorph? Even lvl 1 is sufficient.

I hate her, I truly hate Josephina. I've been trying to defeat her for a week now!!! for a couple of hours every day. The only spell that works is from Divine path, some kind of electric ray lvl 2. But still, after about 15 hours of fight, Josephina's health is about 60%.
Polymorph spell doesn't work on her. She becomes visible for less than a second anyway, and I don't have enough time to reach her after using Polymorph spell - her spikes hold me and then she dissapears.
I don't have Deadly Gift to use scorpion traps, Freeze is only lvl 1 and is definitely insufficient. I'm just in the middle of the level and Kroxy's books appear so rarely.
I've tried all the spells that you all have ever suggested (of those that I have), although I don't remember its names. I even tried using trainer (sorry for that), but it didn't work at all. I become to hate the whole game because of this stupid character.
Is there any spell that can help me defeat her immediately? And if is, can I load it to the game, just like the inventory items from Raze's topic? Help me, I'm desperate.

Have you tried all that is suggested in this post?
The best way i did it, as a mage, was to cast a dread knight (or something else to distract her) and run at her, and keep clicking on her using your sword (if you have the Singing Blade - or some other good sword)
Try that - it worked for me.

Good Luck - she is tough!!!!

I'm Axe Expertise Survivor, but using axe or any conventional weapon is only a waste of time (she becomes visible for too short time while I need to use tens of potions), that's why I started using spells. I tried every skill that I have. Nothing helped, exept for the spell I mentioned before - sth of Divine path, but it makes definitely too slow progress. Help...

The fastest way to close to attack her is using Flash Attack, available at lvl 30, as soon as the dialogue ends hit space to pause then shift scroll up and right click on her, ignore wether she casts her knight or if she blinds you, once you start to attack dont move, ignore the spikes and keep healing you man, she'll die fast enough. Just make sure you've got plenty of hps and plenty of white potions.

Spells is where DD really falls on its [nocando]... most of them are total rubbish even maxed out and many are as much use with 1 pt as they are maxed out.

Poly works if you curse her first - survivor path, lvl 1 is sufficient - just curse her several times by clicking on her and the you'll have a bunny or a frog as I did.

Arwena, if you wish I can send you my save after having defeated Josie - or you send me yours, I'll try my luck with her and then send it back to you. I have a 48/49 lvl mage.

If so, please PM me we'll figure a way out.

If you use a shadow potion and wait for her Blind spell to wear off, you will have time to make an attack. If you Blind her first, she will not be able to cast spells.

I found it more reliable in iZakaroN's SaveEditor to increase the number of unused skill points, then distribute them after loading the game.

If you quick save before running your mouse over an item/chest/merchant or hitting the alt key, you can identify the item or trade with the merchant, then quick load to get different stats or inventory. This can be done repeatedly to get the best stats or specific bonuses on an item (save after finding good candidates) or looking for specific items (such as spell books or charms) from merchants. This might take awhile, but you could get spell books from Kroxy this way.

PS IIRC, someone said that if you use the survivor's sneak skill, you can cast Lightning without turning visible. Enough restoration potions for mana, and you could take her out that way.

OK, I cursed her - she stood doing nothing for a while, but when I switched to Polymorph and sent it on her, she started sending the spikes again. What's wrong with the Polymorph? Should I touch her while using this spell, or what?

Anyway thanks for the offer. I would like to wait with it until really really nothing else helps. [Linked Image]

How long did you wait after using Curse? You should cast Curse a few times in a row, then cast Polymorph, all within about 5 seconds.

Curse
Curse your enemies and let them suffer your wrath. To use, make the skill your active skill, and right click on your enemy.

Level 1 Targeted creature loses 5 percent offence and 5 percent defence. Resistances of targeted creature are lowered by 5 percent. Curse lasts 5 time units.
Required level is 12. Magic cost is 12.

Level 2 Targeted creature loses 5 percent offence and 5 percent defence. Resistances of targeted creature are lowered by 10 percent. Curse lasts 5 time units.
Required level is 16. Magic cost is 14.

Level 3 Targeted creature loses 10 percent offence and 10 percent defence. Resistances of targeted creature are lowered by 15 percent. Curse lasts 10 time units.
Required level is 20. Magic cost is 16.

Level 4 Targeted creature loses 10 percent offence and 10 percent defence. Resistances of targeted creature are lowered by 20 percent. Curse lasts 10 time units.
Required level is 24. Magic cost is 18.

Level 5 Targeted creature loses 15 percent offence and 15 percent defence. Resistances of targeted creature are lowered by 25 percent. Curse lasts 15 time units.
Required level is 28. Magic cost is 20.

Arwena, which curse did you take? There are 2: the withering curse from the mage path (enemies have resistances against it) and the survivor's curse from the mage path ( enemies have NO resistance against it)

If you take the survivor curse (several clicks to get her really down - her spiritual resistance is pretty high), Josie should have a white spot on her body this symbol shows, she's cursed. Then simply hit the pause button, choose the polymorph spell in peace and quiet and polymorph her.
Kiya

You don't have to touch her, it's a long distance spell, but you should target her, it's no area spell.

I simply ran after her and some how got her cornered and beat her to death after I lured all her minons out and dispatched them first.

I cursed her with Curse (not Withering Curse) spell for about 20-25 times in a row. My Mana is 362, I used about 2,5 of whole amount of it (I drank 3 restorations when mana was about half). No particular spot on her body appeared. She was surrounded with a cloud of glimmering red and pink and a white center. If by "white spot" you meant a kind of white eye on the hips (which I get when SHE curses me) - she didn't have anything like that. Then I tried Polymorph, but she stayed in her own shape. It seems that something that I do I do wrong. Should I use Curse on her longer?

Actually I think that time doesn't matter here. Right after the previous post I tried Curse on her for over a minute, I used about 20 restorations - to be absolutely sure that she should be cursed by the long time. She wasn't. Something must be wrong with the Curse spell.

Sorry, I'm at work right now, I'll try to make screenshots this night - but the glimmer you mentioned is correct for this spell.
Have you got "know creature" level 5? If so, please, tell me how low her spir. resistance is after you cursed her and which polymorph spell lvl you use. And I would really love to have your save - I'm very curious what could've gone wrong. I promise, I just want to test it.

If it is not too much trouble: Zip or rar your Josie save and send it to
kiya1@t-online.de

you don't have to split your mail - Please? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />

I never had probs with that combo - so I'm really very curious - and I simply adore to poly her <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Have you tried Raze's tip: About drinking a shadow potion and sneaking up to her then?

Of course <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> It's already zipped, but it's almost 10 MB - is it allright for your mailbox?

Yes, I have. First, I couldn't attack when I was invisible, and second, it made me invisible for about a second or so. That's why I turned to your method.

Sorry, I thought my sentence was clear (splitting not necessary, next time I'll write 10 MB <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" /> ) - yes, I can take 10 MB without splitting. Please, send it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />
Kiya

Lvl 2 polymorph is fine, got it also - I'm really looking forward to your save.
