Sounds like the caster route is the one you want. Taking the Monk level will hinder you at some point as far as spells go but only by one level. You took Pally as your first level right? You can improve your Tumble in 5's at level 2, 6, 11, 16 and 21. (and so on) Just add to spellcraft and then save points each time as the sorc. (I presume INT=10, if more then grab Discipline with the monk levels too, i.e. INT=12)
Lore is good but depents on your INT. Spellcraft will increase spell resistance by +1 every 5 points. Healing: I have seen little difference in 0 points in this and 20. Maybe it helps when using heal kits in combat. I dump in 2 points and when I use a kit in combat I only heal about 10 points. Out of combat its between 20-30.

The thing with wierd is it requires 2 saves. Will and Fort. Wail of the Banshee requires just one, fortitude. The Will save can be reduced with Mind Fog but that uses a will save too! Now things get silly...

The good thing about wierd is that it will cause damage even when the fort save is failed. (small amount but it helps)

The important things are the Spell focus and penetration feats. Plus their epic equivalents. Maybe take some more sorc levels after 20 to get the epic bonus feats too. Still spell is optional since your monk levels will give you good robes.
Take some more monk levels when you feel like adding more to tumble+discipline. You should be fine with one pally level.

Hope that helps m'dear.
