I see.

I played D1 a bit, but found it too dark, too murky (other people might like it just for that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> - I don't ) , and gave it up somewhere.

However, I liked D2 much better, because it's a bit better ... with more people around, actual camps and so on.

I stopped D2/LOD last year, as I stood before the last boss, but will one day finally finish him - although it's quite hard at that point, because the creature's minionns are all of the "life-leeching" type, so to say. I liked to play a "bowazone" very much, it's my preferred style of play. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Anyway, D1 often remindes me of NetHack - it's basically a similar story - decending down into a crypt.

But what NetHack didn't have in terms of graphics, they (the devs) outrun it (the lack of great graphics) with their wits and richness of detail !

By the way, I partially lost my interest in D2 because at one point my inventory was full of uniques and set items and runes and such stuff and I didn't want to give them away ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
