[color:"orange"]I heard rumors that the security features are able to slow down gaming considerably in some respect ? Has anyone heard of this ?[/color]

I don't think gameing is slowed down, but DRM may slow down multi-media playback, etc, and do other potentially bad stuff. From a couple things I read recently, gaming may be the only compeling reason to switch to Vista.

Vista security spec 'longest suicide note in history'

A Cost Analysis of Windows Vista Content Protection (much more interesting than it sounds)

"Windows Vista includes an extensive reworking of core OS elements in order to provide content protection for so-called "premium content", typically HD data from Blu-Ray and HD-DVD sources. Providing this protection incurs considerable costs in terms of system performance, system stability, technical support overhead, and hardware and software cost. These issues affect not only users of Vista but the entire PC industry, since the effects of the protection measures extend to cover all hardware and software that will ever come into contact with Vista, even if it's not used directly with Vista (for example hardware in a Macintosh computer or on a Linux server)."

BadVista.org/

"Vista is an upsell masquerading as an upgrade. It is an overall regression when you look at the most important aspect of owning and using a computer: your control over what it does. Obviously MS Windows is already proprietary and very restrictive, and well worth rejecting. But the new 'features' in Vista are a Trojan Horse to smuggle in even more restrictions."

BTW, MS removed the restriction of only being able to transfer Vista to a new computer once.
