No, it's Larian's loss. It's not an unreasonable request - we don't all have a lot of time. It's more likely to lose a sale than gain one, no? The retail copy has a save anywhere feature, thus this "I'm a super busy guy and don't have the time" complaint is a moot point. Larian probably didn't put the option in the demo because they want people to go out and buy it instead of just playing and saving in the demo.
