That's interesting - I hadn't realised that. I had noticed that there was still a huge amount of Fallout 3-related stuff lurking in the master file that had absolutely nothing to do with FNV such as characters, items and stuff. I'd assumed rather naively it was to make modders' life easier by retaining formids so that porting their mods was easier (even given their track record with FO3), but it does seem to be more a case of a sloppy conversion.
