I'm sure the developers at Larian are completely thrilled with working overtime to get this out to everyone yesterday, only for Valve to drag its feet for another 24+ hours and make the effort pointless.
Not making any fans with that move. They need to take 5 minutes and focus less on game sales and focus more on supporting the games they've already sold. I guess because the editor is "free", this is way on the bottom of Valve's "to do" list.
