One example in the AAA realm, was Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and the "Tong" mission. If you wanted it with the game, you could *ONLY* get it by pre-ordering from Gamestop. That was it, otherwise you had to wait until they offered it for sale. I did so begrudgingly, because there was no way I was missing out on the Tong mission (especially as a huge fan of the original Deus Ex), but I was definitely not happy about it.
Odd. Here in the Benelux every copy of Deus Ex: HR came with all DLC (Tong mission, weapons etc), doesn't matter where you got it from, all of them had it.
But yeah, I do usually wait for Gold Editions due to this DLC trend... Watch_Dogs I want to play, but not enough that I won't wait for a full package at cheaper.
Of course; that's not quite the same as what's a KS-reward.
