I entered town via the ladder, avoiding the cut scene at the entrance. Then I came to the szene from inside town and my party was teleported and knocked down (It looks a bit strange that this happens when I stand in the middle of them but that something different.)
After the talking was over, Ifan and the red prince remained in a prone position and they moved around in that position when I told them to move. Saving and reloading solved the problem.
