Aside from Cyseal, there really isn't much need to revisit places you've been through. The Ultima series did a great job of making the world feel like a world and just because you scoured Brittania didn't mean there wouldn't be compelling reasons to go back there again and again… same with most of the other towns and villages. As the plot unfolded, things changed providing reasons to go back to Yew or Moonglow. D:OS could use some of this.

Lots of stuff I agree with here (except for the overly-humorous bit, I mean this is Larian!) but this one in particular: I know it's just kinda what Divinity does, but I've always liked being able to explore when and where I feel like, and it doesn't really make a lot of sense to me to wall off previously visited areas and close all their quests. I'd hoped that the use of waypoints meant that I'd be able to e.g. revisit Fort Joy to tie up any loose ends such as telling the rat about my adventures or just because I felt like it, but it wasn't to be.
